Ann Kananu has officially been sworn in as Nairobi’s 3rd Governor.
Ann was sworn in on Tuesday 16th November at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre Comesa Grounds.
Kananu has been acting governor since December 2020 following the dismissal of former governor Mike Sonko.
Nairobi MCAs were in attendance led by Majority Leader Abdi Hassan and his counterpart Michael Ogada from the Minority side.
On 8th of November the court cleared her succession after dismissing an application by Sonko challenging her appointment.
