Kenya Power and Lightning company has confirmed the sudden power outage due to collapse of the high voltage transmission power line.
The widespread blackout according to the Monopoly giant is due to disruption of the power line on Tuesday morning.
The blackout is national and according to Kenya Power when the main line collapses it affects the supply countrywide. The outage comes days after a confirmation from the ministry of energy on a 15 per cent reduction in the cost of electricity.
KPLC has however assured Kenyans that their engineers are working on restoring the electricity supply and the repairs are being done to resolve the outage.
