Two well Fargo employee disappear with Quickmart’s Sh94 million

Quickmart supermarket has lost sh94 million in an apparent robbery on Monday 6th November 2023 as the cash was being ferried for banking.

Two employees of Wells Fargo Company have gone missing after taking Ksh.94,918,750 that was collected from Quickmart supermarket branch on Waiyaki Nairobi . A police report on Monday stated that the company’s driver Anthony Ndiuki, and Charles Mugetha left the company’s offices in South C at around 8.30 a.m. 

The two, who were on board the company’s vehicle, left without police escort, as is the norm, with Ksh. 94.9 million.

The money was from the weekend sales of Quickmart supermarkets and was to be taken to the Family Bank Kenyatta Avenue branch.

The said motor vehicle was found dumped at Dafam area South C, next to the southern bypass, without the suspects and the money missing,” reads a police statement.

The DCIO from Langata is investigating the issue, and the scene was visited by the OC.

A police signal indicates that they abandoned the vehicle an Isuzu cante at Da farm in South C before disappearing without a trace. The duo reportedly left without the usual police escort.

“Later the administration police officer waited but did not see them and it is then that they raised alarm,” the police officer reported. Lang’ata Sub- County police commander Monica Kimani confirmed the incident adding that they received the report at around 10 am Monday morning.

We are on the case; however, we have not established whether this is the actual figure but that is what we received from a respondent who gave information.
