Kirinyaga Women Representative Wangui Ngirici has ditched Ruto’s UDA party.
Ngirici revealed this while she was touring Mwea and Gichungu constituences where she was donating food to the needy
The law maker said the party officials wanted her to drop her Kirinyaga Gubernatorial seat ambitions in favor of Kirinyaga Governor Ann Waiguru and instead vie for Mwea parliamentary seat on the party’s ticket.
Ngirici also reaveled she will be running for the Kirinyaga Governor seat as an independent candidate.
“In 2022, I will not stand with any political party. I will seek to be elected as a governor, as an individual, and I’m confident that I will sail through,” she said.
She also urged the residents to vote leaders and not political parties.
