The attempted murder charges against Embakasi East Mp Babu Owino in the shooting of Felix Orinda alias Dj Evolve have been withdrawn.
In a ruling by the court on Tuesday, the lawmaker will only be charged for disorderly behavior while carrying a firearm.
Babu had attempted settling the case with Dj Evolve out of court.
The lawmaker was charged with attempting to kill Dj Evolve whom he shot in a club in Kilimani ,Nairobi in 2018.
Through his lawyer Kenneth Mumbo, the Dj had made an application to have the case withdrawn as he said he wanted to focus on his health.
During his ruling ,senior magistrate Benard Ochoi acknowledged that Babu is currently undertaking certain obligations in relation to the welfare of Dj Evolve.
Initially Ochai has refused to withdraw the case stating the details of the reconciliation were not disclosed to the court.
