Capital FMs Alex Nderi alias Dj Lithium commits suicide at his work place on Wednesday evening.
Sources say Dj Lithium took rat poison while at Capital FM offices located at Lonrho House.
His lifeless body was discovered at the stations IT department. He was later rushed to Nairobi Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Before taking the poison, Lithium deleted all his social media pages and texted his close friends and family telling them his gone.
The disc jockey,34, also left a suicide note on his desk.
Police have since visited the scene and picked the poison as investigations into the incident go on.
Kilimani head of police Muturi Mbogo said the hospital reported he was confirmed dead on arrival.
‘We understand he swallowed a poison in his office after a series of events,”Mbogo said.
Lithum has worked at Capital FM for 8 years as a DJ and producer.
The deceased hosted Club Capital every Friday from 11:00 PM to 2:00 AM and the Jam Fridays from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
